R J M is a family run partnership able to offer a more personal service tailored to meet individual needs. R Robert (Bob) Gardner is the father of the partnership, having over 50 years experience in the building industry.  As a partner in, at that time, one of the area’s premier house building companies, he oversaw the development of many of the Wirral’s most exclusive properties. With the retirement of his business partner, Bob decided to begin working for himself.  Not wishing to continue in the construction industry, he decided to start a repair, decoration and maintenance firm, so Bob Gardner Building Contractors was born.  Bob was joined by his eldest son J John; being a fully qualified time served joiner and full time perfectionist, John was a major asset.  The two of them soon built up a large customer base, without any advertising; all new customers came from recommendations.  It was soon necessary, with an ever increasing work load, for the youngest son M  Mark to join the firm.  Mark was quick to pick up the many required skills to work alongside Bob and John. Bob Gardner Building Contractors continued for many years until a change in the law concerning sub-contractors led to them being required to form a partnership, so R J M Building & Decorating Services was born in 1999. RJM continue to supply the very highest workmanship possible in a wide range of areas covering all aspects of building, decoration and maintenance.
